All Understory frogs are imported to the United States from Canada in periodic shipments that will be coordinated via email following your purchase.
Frogs will ship out to customers via UPS Next Day Air on the same day the cross the border into the U.S. Please select a shipping destination where someone will be present to immediately care for the frogs when they are delivered!
Orders can now be held at Fedex Hubs for pickup!
Enter the Fedex Hub address at checkout for this option (Fedex Priority Overnight) and type "Fedex Hold" in the comments. Due to Shopify weirdness, Fedex cannot show as an option, but the cost is the same as UPS Next Day Air.

Similar in all regards to R. ventrimaculata, variabilis is essentially an altitudinal variant of ventrimaculata. Primarily found in montane regions between 300-1200m of the east Andean foothills of Peru. In certain lower elevations variabilis may exhibit the pattern highly reminiscent of what would be expected from ventrimacula. The southern form is larger and is found in the lower strata of the forest, and breeds frequently in terrestrial plants such as xanthasomas. Regardless of origin, variabilis are spectacular animals and in most cases will display well in a well planted vivarium. Hardy animals well suited for a first venture into keeping Ranitomeya species.
