Origin: Peru
Description: As with many Marcgravia, the emergent growth contrasts nicely against the established foliage. In this case the emergent growth is a rusty red to burgundy color. Fairly small species and not overly aggressive in the terrarium. This plant grows in the habitat of Ranitomeya summersi, R. imitator, R. variabilis as well as Ameerega bassleri, A. trivitatta, and A. caynarachi.
